Three Lions change numbers

The initial 53-man roster is set as the Lions begin on-field preparations Monday for Sunday’s regular-season opener in San Diego.

As is usually the case once the roster is whittled down to 53, a few Lions players have changed jersey numbers heading into the regular season.

Rookie running back Zach Zenner has changed his number back to 34. He began as 34 early in the offseason, but also wore 47 and 41 over the last few months. He enters the regular season as 34.

Tight end Tim Wright has also changed his number from 89 to 83.
