DETROIT -- The first play of the second half set the tone for the Oakland Raiders. Quarterback Derek Carr rolled out of the pocket to elude pressure and found receiver Seth Roberts open deep for a 43-yard gain. Nine players later, the Raiders would punch it into the end zone, ending the Detroit Lions' shutout bid.
By the end of the quarter, the Raiders were leading, 13-9.
The officials certainly didn't help the Lions in the third quarter. Cornerback Quandre Diggs' intercepted Carr on the touchdown drive, but the play was erased by a flimsy holding call against teammate Nevin Lawson.
