The NFL is back in full swing, which means that for 99% of the nation the time for writing about practice squads and preseason depth charts and roster shuffling has ended. Yet on Sept. 9 the Lions made one more move to the practice squad and brought on an individual by the name of Kendrick Ings. His story is insane, and I'm sitting down to write about how insane this story can possibly be.
Perhaps his story isn't completely unique. Perhaps there's others like him across the league: squirreled away in practice squads, hiding along the eternal chaos of exclusive preseason duties, forever lost to the annals of organizational depth charts.
