ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions are the oldest team in the NFC North, and one of the oldest in the NFL.
Detroit's average age is 26.6 years old, according to data that is computed annually by PhillyVoice. That's 27th in the NFL, ahead of only the Bills (26.7), Panthers (26.8), Patriots (26.8), Falcons (26.9) and Raiders (27.4). And it's easily the oldest roster in the NFC North, with the Vikings checking in at the sixth youngest (25.5), followed by Green Bay at 10th (25.7) and Chicago 12th (25.7).
In other words, the Lions are a full year older -- per player -- than anyone else in their division.
