Ever since Sean Payton outmaneuvered Jim Caldwell in Super Bowl XLIV, Caldwell has owned the series between the two coaches.
Caldwell and Payton have met four times since that February day in 2010, and Caldwell's teams are 3-1 in those meetings (including 3-0 in his tenure as Lions coach).
As they get set for a fifth matchup Sunday, Caldwell said there's no rivalry between him and the coach who edged him out of the Super Bowl.
"I would assume that he probably looks at it the same way we look at it," Caldwell said Friday. "I’m not certain, you’d have to ask him.
