During the Detroit Lions’ emphatic win over the Minnesota Vikings, the team suffered two more injuries to their defense. Defensive tackle Pat O’Connor has a calf injury, while cornerback Terrion Arnold has a foot injury. Both players were initially ruled questionable to return but later downgraded to out. There was no update on O’Connor after the game, but coach Dan Campbell had this to say about Arnold.
“I’ll know more tomorrow. It was obviously enough to where he couldn’t finish the game. So, take that for what it is,” Campbell said.
That didn’t sound like an encouraging update, but with some on Twitter speculating that Arnold may have broken or fractured a bone, Campbell confirmed that initial x-rays were actually negative.
