The Lions are looking forward to hitting someone other than teammates when their exhibition slate kicks off Thursday night against the Jets.
While the players went through situational work Monday and Tuesday, coach Jim Caldwell said they didn’t prepare much specifically for the Jets, so the game will be an opportunity to see how some players react to certain situations.
“This game is going to give us an opportunity to work against guys that we don’t know that well, that we haven’t taken an ordinate amount of time getting prepared for,” Caldwell said. “You’ll see them adjust and adapt, and that’s important.
