ALLEN PARK -- There's no such thing as South Detroit, which means no one was born and raised there. Not even Journey.
But Luke Willson does hail from LaSalle, Ontario, which is located less than a half-hour south of Detroit. And not even heavy traffic at the border could push his commute to the Lions' training facility past 32 minutes.
The former Seahawks tight end made that drive on Wednesday morning to sign a one-year contract with his hometown Lions. The deal is worth a reported $2.5 million.
"Honestly, it's a dream come true," Willson said by phone.
