ALLEN PARK -- Taylor Decker was a punishing run blocker for Ezekiel Elliott and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
That ability should do wonders for the Lions' wayward running game, after they selected the offensive tackle 16th overall in the NFL draft. Detroit finishing last in the league in rushing last year, and was only marginally better, at 28th, the year before that.
That's the good news about Detroit's first-round pick.
The bad news: HIs pass blocking his far less sophisticated. So much so, some analysts are wondering whether Detroit took Decker too highly.
Foremost among them is ProFootballFocus, which graded Decker 79th nationally for his pass blocking last season.
