After sending general manager Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia packing, the Lions made a surprise move by waiving wide receiver Marvin Hall on Friday. Hall was generally liked by fans and had been a pretty reliable fourth receiver and deep threat for the Lions’ offense.
With this move, and with Kenny Golladay listed as OUT against the Bears, the Lions will have to rely on Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola and Quintez Cephus as their top three wideouts. It’s unclear why the Lions would have made this move, but it’s possible that it could have to do with the fact that Darrell Bevell is now running this team.
