Even the most optimistic Detroit Lions fans know that playoffs are longer than a longshot at this point in the season. There may be realistic ways in which they can make it in at 8-8, but literally everything would have to go the Lions’ way in the next four weeks. There’s a reason why Football Outsiders puts their overall chances at the postseason at 0.3 percent, and the New York Times just plainly says “<1%”.
