It was clear very early in Sunday’s game in Green Bay that Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ game plan was to attack second-year cornerback Nevin Lawson.
Lawson, who was making just his second career start for the injured Rashean Mathis, was matched up against talented Packers wideout Davante Adams for most of the contest.
Rodgers ended up targeting Lawson 16 times in the Lions’ 18-16 victory. The 16 targets were the most for any cornerback in any game this season, per Pro Football Focus statistics.
