Stafford, Johnson heat up, Lions roast Eagles

Detroit — Matthew Stafford said this week he wanted the Lions to win so fans could enjoy their turkey more.

And if a win could have such an effect, then Lions fans surely had a most delicious bird on Thursday.

Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson led a dominant performance by the Lions on Thanksgiving as they beat the Eagles, 45-14, at Ford Field. With the win, the Lions (4-7) have now won three straight games this season, and they scored their most points in a game since a 49-35 win over the Panthers on Nov. 20, 2011.
