Stafford, Calvin star as Lions finish strong

Chicago — Sweeping changes might be coming for the Lions soon, but the leaders of the 2015 season can take some pride in ending on a good note.

With stellar performances from quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson, the Lions beat the Bears, 24-20, at Soldier Field in their season finale.

After a disastrous 1-7 start to the season that resulted in the firing of top executives Tom Lewand and Martin Mayhew as well as three assistant coaches, the Lions (7-9) closed the season on a 6-2 run.

Stafford was precise for most of the game, finishing 28 of 39 for 298 yards and three touchdowns.
