Stafford and Calvin Johnson make it 24-7, Lions, at the half
Thanksgiving threatened to become Thankstaking from the Eagles after the Lions stormed to a 24-7 lead when Matthew Stafford floated a lovely 17-yard touchdown pass to Calvin Johnson with 12 seconds to play in the first half.
The play came on third-and-17 from Philadelphia's 25.
Johnson had been dealing with too much Eagles defensive congestion early, but Stafford found him four times on an 88-yard drive that required only 11 plays.
The Lions had started from their own 12, with nearly five minutes to play in the half.
