EAGAN, Minn. -- The Minnesota Vikings are expected to give quarterback Nick Mullens his second consecutive start in Sunday's key divisional game against the Detroit Lions, sources told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
Mullens completed 26 of 33 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns in the Vikings' 27-24 overtime loss last Saturday to the Cincinnati Bengals. He threw two interceptions in the second quarter to end scoring threats, but largely fulfilled coach Kevin O'Connell's philosophy of getting the ball downfield to wide receivers.
