The Detroit Lions are re-signing defensive end Marcus Davenport for one year at the $4.75 million maximum, sources confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday.
NFL Network was first to report the re-signing.
The Lions signed Davenport to a one-year, $7.095 million contract in free agency last year after his one season with the Minnesota Vikings (2023) and five with the New Orleans Saints from 2018 to '22.
However, Davenport, 28, appeared in just two games during the 2024 season. He missed Week 2 with a groin injury after registering a half-sack in Detroit's overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.
