When the Detroit Lions drafted center Travis Swanson in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft, it was with the hope that the former Arkansas standout might become a reliable anchor for their offensive line one day. But after two concerning head injuries in back-to-back seasons, should the Lions simply wash their hands of Swanson this offseason?
Swanson is currently a free agent after spending his first four seasons as a professional in the Motor City. The 26-year old has started 42 games for Detroit in that span, but has only been able to play a full season once, his rookie year in 2014.
