EAST LANSING -- When Sheldon White's 19-year run with the Detroit Lions ended in February, 2016, he quickly garnered interest from a handful of college and pro teams looking to hire the longtime personnel executive.
But the offer that ended up appealing the most was the one that came from down the road, and would allow him to work in the same program with his son while staying involved with his younger children as well.
White was hired by Michigan State as a program consultant last July. Now, after nearly a year of observing and providing feedback to Mark Dantonio, he's staying on full-time.
