Detroit Lions nation is sweeped up in the “Race for Chase” sweepstakes. Ask just about any Lions fan right now who their dream pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and there’s probably a 90 percent chance they’re going to answer Ohio State defensive end Chase Young.
And it’s for good reason. An elite pass rusher is one of the most coveted positions in the NFL, and Young appears to be a clear, elite talent that would make an immediate impact for any of the 32 teams in the league. For the Lions, it’s a cure to their pass rushing woes and an excellent complement to last offseason’s free agent acquisition in Trey Flowers.
