DETROIT – Detroit Lions punter, Sam Martin, is showing his support of the Michigan Humane Society (MHS) by taking an active role in several of its upcoming activities and events. First, Martin has pledged to go “in the doghouse” to raise $5,000 for MHS’ 26th annual Bow Wow Brunch, which takes place Sunday, April 26 at the MGM Grand Detroit Hotel. On May 15, he plans to make an appearance and sign autographs at the spring Meet your Best Friend at the Zoo adoption event, which MHS co-hosts with the Detroit Zoological Society. And, later this spring, Martin will appear in an MHS public service announcement about the importance of having proper identification on your pet.
