Thirty-one is old in NFL terms.
Calvin Johnson retired last year as a 30-year-old with a beat-up body, and by the time most players reach their 30s, their skills are in rapid decline.
But as Glover Quin approaches this season, the second-longest-tenured member of the Detroit Lions secondary said he feels like he still has much more to give – and he wants to do it in a Lions uniform.
"Thirty-one as a safety, you’re kind of probably in your prime because you’re kind of seeing the game like a quarterback now," Quin said Thursday after the final practice of Lions minicamp.
