ORLANDO, Fla. -- The biggest news to come out of the owners meetings this week has been the NFL's surprise decision to adopt a targeting-style rule. And people are worried about it.
Everyone from Richard Sherman to the Lions' Quandre Diggs have expressed skepticism about the decision. Some are saying this could fundamentally change the game.
But Roger Goodell isn't buying it.
"We just finished several days of meetings with coaches," the NFL commissioner said, "and there was very, very strong support for making these changes. In fact, I would say it was unanimous. We can take the head out of the game.
