The Detroit Lions are continuing to make big changes to their administration. Just a month after announcing five new hires among their coaching staff, it appears they’re making a significant move in their scouting department.
As first reported by Neil Stratton, and later corroborated by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions have parted ways with Director of Pro Scouting Brendan Prophett.
Prophett had held that position since 2016, after spending a couple years with the New Orleans Saints. He has been a scout of some capacity in the NFL since 1999, including 15 seasons as part of the New York Jets personnel staff.
