Report: Lions to sign former Patriots WR Aaron Dobson

The Detroit Lions made a decision to sign at least one player Tuesday. The position, though, could come as a shock.

The Lions are reportedly signing receiver Aaron Dobson, who was last with the New England Patriots, after a workout, according to Rand Getlin. Dobson was part of New England’s final cuts during training camp this year.

A second-round pick out of Marshall in 2013, the 6-foot-3 Dobson played in 24 games over three seasons with the Patriots. He had 53 catches for 698 yards and four touchdowns on 97 career targets.

He’s dropped eight passes in his career with a drop rate of 8.
