The Lions landed an interview with another rumored candidate for their general manager opening.
Kevin Abrams, the Giants’ assistant general manager, will interview for the job, according to a CBS Sports report.
National Football Post first reported Sunday that Abrams would be in line for an interview for the position.
Abrams has worked for the Giants since 1999, so he spent time working with Ernie Accorsi, New York’s GM from 1998-2007 who is consulting the Lions in the hire.
Abrams joined the Giants as a salary cap analyst after working for the NFL Management Council, where he monitored and analyzed player contracts and the league-wide salary cap.
