Jake Rudock wasn’t off the Detroit Lions for long. After the Lions waived him on Saturday morning, he former Wolverine quarterback cleared waivers and will be joining the team’s practice squad per Justin Rogers.
This is the second time in three years that Rudock will start the year on the practice squad. In his rookie season, he was unable to beat out Dan Orlovsky in training camp and ended up on the squad. Last year, after the Lions permanently moved on from Orlovsky, Rudock was able to beat out Brad Kaaya in the preseason.
