Report: Lions interviewing Larry Foote for defensive coordinator position

The first known candidate for the Detroit Lions’ defensive coordinator position has been revealed. According to a report from Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are interviewing Larry Foote for the position.

Per Bucs reporter Rick Stroud, Foote’s contract is over in Tampa, but the Buccaneers would like him back.

Foote, a Detroit native, was a standout linebacker for the University of Michigan from 1999-2001. As an NFL player, Foote was a two-time Super Bowl winner with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and even spent one season with the Lions in 2009.
