The Detroit Lions have placed a sixth player on their reserve/COVID-19 list. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, cornerback Justin Coleman has tested positive for the coronavirus. According to the report, Coleman had a negative test after the first round of testing on Tuesday. However, Wednesday’s sample turned out positive. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Coleman is asymptomatic, “feels great,” and is hoping for a false positive.
Per the NFL’s current protocol, Coleman will have to sit out for five days and pass two consecutive COVID-19 tests before returning.
