The Detroit Lions have apparently made a decision regarding their quarterback situation. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Lions will be signing former Washington quarterback Josh Johnson.
The Lions are clearly seeking another passer to help accommodate the team after they lost backup Tom Savage to an injury during the first quarter of their preseason opener against the New England Patriots. At this point, the nature and severity of Savage’s injury is unknown, but this move signifies that he’ll be sidelined for, at least, the short term.
