He wasn't drafted, he wasn't with the Detroit Lions for training camp and he has never appeared in an NFL game.
But with Matthew Stafford out with a back injury and Jeff Driskel nursing a sore hamstring, David Blough is expected to make his career start in Thursday's Thanksgiving game against the Chicago Bears, ESPN reported Wednesday night.
Blough, acquired in a late August trade with the Cleveland Browns, has been with the Lions for all of the regular season but has been active only for the past three games, since Stafford fractured bones in his back in a Nov.
