Report: Detroit Lions promoting rookie WR Chris Lacy to the active roster

In preparation for their home finale against the Minnesota Vikings, the Detroit Lions are making another roster move. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are signing wide receiver Chris Lacy from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

The Lions are making a move on their 53-man roster, adding WR @Gifted_CLacy, according to agents @AISM_sports and @OSMG_LLC. Nice to see Lacy finally get his shot.

With Bruce Ellington already declared out for Sunday, Lacy joins Detroit’s bare-boned depth chart at wide receiver, which includes undrafted rookie Brandon Powell and Andy Jones, who just got his first-career start last week.
