The Detroit Lions roster cuts are starting to come in, and they’ve begun with a couple of receivers. According to Jordan Schultz, the Lions are waiving Kaden Davis and releasing Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Peoples-Jones was given every opportunity to win the WR-X role this training camp, but the production never came on the field. In the preseason, he caught just two of nine targets for 31 yards, and it wasn’t much better in training camp. The Lions traded for Peoples-Jones last offseason in the hopes that he could grow into a significant role. However, despite Josh Reynolds’ departure this offseason, he couldn’t win the job.
