The Detroit Lions have until 4 p.m. ET on Saturday to cut down their 80-man roster to the required 53-man limit. However, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Lions are getting a head start on Tuesday morning. Per Birkett, the Lions will be waiving wide receiver Geremy Davis—and it sounds like more cuts may be coming.
Davis signed with the Lions back in March after a four-year stint with the Chargers. A former sixth-round pick, Davis brought some size (6-foot-3) and experience to a Lions’ depth chart that was lacking both.
