DeMarcus Lawrence, one of the most sought-after names that was set to hit the open market this offseason, may not even make it that far. The Star Telegram’s Clarence Hill Jr. reported on Monday that the Dallas Cowboys have no intention of letting the edge rusher hit free agency and hope to sign a long term deal by March 5.
It is expected that Lawrence will command quarterback-level money this offseason, and a long-term deal may be worth over $100 million. He has earned 25 sacks over the past two seasons and played on the franchise tag in 2018.
