What happened: There was no fourth-quarter comeback in the cards for the Lions and Matthew Stafford in Houston Sunday.
Stafford had orchestrated fourth-quarter comebacks in all four of Detroit’s wins this season, but the Texans entered the contest with the league’s second-ranked pass defense, which stymied Stafford and Co. for most of the game, and especially late.
The Texans came in allowing just 184 yards per game through the air.
Stafford threw for 240 yards, but was able to get the Lions in the end zone just once.

The Lions fell into a 14-3 halftime hole with touchdowns from Texans tight end C.
