Although I agree with most of Mitch Albom's column on Tuesday about the Lions season opener, one part is off.
These fans can boo and should boo lousy play. No matter who is committing these offenses. After 60-plus years of spending their hard-earned money on the hopes of a championship and getting absolutely nothing, I'm surprised they even show up. Would Albom prefer that? Is that less offensive?
The NFL doesn't hand out participation medals. Keep on booing Lions fans! They all should know that we're not happy with the way things are going. If Albom wants to pass out milk and cookies after every loss and have meaningful conversations afterward, have at it.
