RBs find time to talk health at Eastern Market

The Detroit Lions went shopping Tuesday.

No, not for players following the team’s heart-stopping 39-35 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in their season opener Sunday.

On the list instead was fresh fruit and veggies at Detroit Eastern Market for kids from Gompers Elementary.

Running backs Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick, who combined for 108 yards on the ground against the Colts, led the youngsters through a series of warm-ups in Shed 3 at the historic 125-year-old Detroit landmark with help from teammates Michael Burton, Miles Killebrew, Brandon Copeland, Zach Zenner and Corey Fuller.
