Allen Park — The Detroit Lions have two big contract situations to sort out over the next year — quarterback Matthew Stafford and coach Jim Caldwell.
Both will be entering the final year of their deals next season. It’s long been expected the team would push to lock up Stafford with a long-term extension this offseason, while a wait-and-see approach seems more likely for Caldwell.
Lions general manager Bob Quinn was asked about the status of both his quarterback and coach’s situations and declined to offer any details.
