DETROIT -- In his last game at Ford Field, Eric Ebron was booed louder than anyone in years. In his return, he was named a captain.
Though nobody would talk about it, the message was clear. Detroit still believes in its troubled tight end. And Ebron rewarded their faith in a big way, streaking down the left sideline for a 29-yard go-ahead touchdown.
That gave the Lions a 31-24 lead, then Golden Tate tacked on some insurance with a 40-yard touchdown in a 38-24 win Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. They've now won two in a row to stay within two games of the red-hot Vikings heading into an important divisional matchup next week in Chicago.
