Two weeks ago, Quandre Diggs had a moment, albeit a brief one, that said a lot about him and his precious nature as a football player.
After the Lions had beaten the Oakland Raiders, 18-13, the rookie cornerback tracked down Charles Woodson on the field. Diggs had never met Woodson, but he knew plenty about the Raiders' future Hall of Fame defensive back.
Woodson had hosted Diggs' brother, longtime NFL cornerback Quentin Jammer, on his recruiting visit to Michigan in 1996. And Vance Bedford, Woodson's position coach at Michigan, was Diggs' defensive coordinator at Texas.
Still, Diggs and Woodson had never actually met.
