ALLEN PARK -- Some thought Quandre Diggs was too small. Others thought he was too short. Nobody took him in the first 199 picks of the 2015 draft.
His fall was finally ended by the Detroit Lions in the sixth round.
And after they cut Ameer Abdullah this week, Diggs is the only member of that class still standing in Detroit, a spectacular failure that has set back the club's continued efforts to rebuild.
"It's tough, man," Diggs said at his locker this week. "You never want to imagine something like that. But it's the business, man.
