Starting safety James Ihedigbo was absent from practice for a second day in row Thursday as he deals with a quad injury.
Ihedigbo leads the Lions with 34 tackles, and his three forced fumbles on the year are tied for the league lead.
His status for Sunday’s game vs. Chicago will be determined on Friday’s injury report. If he can’t go, the Lions will start Isa Abdul-Quddus at strong safety alongside Glover Quin. Abdul-Quddus started the first three games of the 2014 season when Ihedigbo sat out with a neck injury.
