The Detroit Lions got a big piece of their defense back on the practice field Wednesday with the return of defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.
The Lions have missed Ngata’s presence in the middle of their defensive line the last two games while he’s dealt with a calf injury. He’s one of their top run defenders and the anchor in the middle for them.
He was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, and his status for Sunday’s game won’t be known until later in the week.
