Jay Cutler the gunslinger is no more.
Once one of the NFL's most erratic arms, Cutler has reined in his wild play this year, and he has helped keep the Chicago Bears' playmaker-less offense afloat as a result.
He has reduced his interceptions. He has improved his yards per completion. He has posted a career-high passer rating.
And one season after the Bears were seeking a way out from under his contract, Cutler seems destined to stay in Chicago for the near future.
