Arn Tellem, the new vice chairman of Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E) — and likely a part-owner of the Detroit Pistons basketball franchise by year-end — checked into his new digs this week.
And if first impressions from an hour-long lunch with him Thursday prove valid, the former sports superagent will be making waves soon in Detroit and Michigan business, community and philanthropic circles.
Tellem, 61, arrived on-site Tuesday at the Palace of Auburn Hills as the guy team owner Tom Gores hopes will be the key final piece of a management triumvirate on the ground in Michigan that returns the Pistons to a place among the NBA's most admired franchises.
