Detroit Pistons forward Ersan Ilyasova led his native Turkey with 15 points in the national team's 104-77 loss to Spain in both teams' second game in the EuroBasket tournament Sunday in Berlin.
Ilyasova was 3-for-7 from the field, including 1-for-4 from the three-point line, and made eight of nine free throws in 21 minutes. He had one rebound.
But the Turkish team couldn't contain Spain, which shot 64% from the field. Bulls All-Star Pau Gasol led the Spanish attack with 21 points and seven rebounds.
Slated to start at power forward for Detroit this season, Ilyasova had 17 points and two rebounds in the tournament-opening win over Italy on Saturday.
