Detroit Pistons backup center Aron Baynes is making significant improvement with his right ankle injury suffered late this past season.
After undergoing off-season surgery to repair the injured ankle, Baynes, 28, was unable to run on a treadmill for a required stress test for his physical after signing with the Pistons in July. But more than three weeks since the failed attempt to stimulate Baynes' heart rate chemically by the Pistons' medical staff, he said he feels pleased about his recovery.
"(Ankle) is coming along, it's on track to where it should be," Baynes said Thursday.
