Eleven months after he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee for the second time in his career, Brandon Pettigrew is back practicing with the Detroit Lions.
The Lions started Pettigrew's three-week practice window today, after the veteran tight end opened the season on the physically unable to perform list.
He's not expected to play in Thursday's Thanksgiving game against the Minnesota Vikings (12:30 p.m., CBS) but should return to action in early December.
Pettigrew told the Free Press at a charity event last week that his knee was feeling "pretty good.
