DETROIT -- This was a start. DeAndre Levy acknowledged as much late Sunday afternoon after he played in a football game for the first time in months.
The Detroit Lions linebacker, who had been the subject of much fan consternation after injuring his knee in Week 1 and missing the next 11 games, had finally returned to the field, and while he had some rust to shake off, the initial results were promising.
And that’s a really, really good thing for the Detroit defense.
“It felt a little rusty from just a pure football standpoint, not doing some of the things,” Levy said.
